SLIPKNOT- Key Club October 1999

Their press has declared them the craziest band out of Iowa...I haven¼t been to Iowa I like Hawkeyes Wrestling though...I was moderately apprehensive about going to see them live because I wasn¼t that impressed by there new cd. But Slipknot live is like watching the villains from the LEGION OF DOOM mixed with your favorite horror movie character blast through a set of mixed sound collage of metal-industrial-jungle-punk that becomes background noise to 9 alter-egos under the team known as SLIPKNOT.. I tried taking photographs from the pit since I got kicked off the stage. But that was a fucking mistake because the crowd was going fucking mental to every song not only are they the craziest band from Iowa but from what they did at the Key Club they make a mess off every venue they play. I can¼t go through the set list or quote lyrics but I wish I had a fuckin video of them playing live to watch over and over again rather than a cd, as a matter of fact I¼m really interested in seeing what they¼re doing on New Years Eve because I know they¼ll be startin some shit for Y2k...by the way I think there costumes would be great to rob a bank in!
